About Us

Home Basics Real Estate was founded in 2004 and is based in Orem, UT. We began to offer property management services in 2005 in response to our investor clients who were very disappointed by their experiences with other property management companies in our marketplace. These investors had a great experience with us as we assisted them in the acquisition process and could see the huge potential in Utah but they needed a good solution for the other piece of the puzzle – an affordable, competent, and attentive property management company. So, we gave them what they wanted by launching our successful property management division. Today, many of the properties we manage are homes we located, evaluated, and assisted our clients in purchasing. We continue to add to their portfolios and have had the opportunities to liquidate their properties as well.

We manage properties in the following Utah County cities:

Payson, Spanish Fork, Mapleton, Salem, Springville, Provo, Orem, Lindon, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Alpine, Highland, Lehi, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain

Properties located in other cities will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Licensed and Insured

Home Basics Real Estate is licensed with the city of Orem, UT and we have licensed real estate agents on our staff. Home Basics Real Estate carries errors and omissions insurance. The contractors and vendors we use are also licensed and insured as needed.

Justin first obtained his real estate license in 1999. In 2002, he became one of the youngest brokers in Utah history. During his career, Justin has sold millions of dollars in real estate, has received numerous awards, and has served admirably in both the state and local real estate boards including on the board of directors for the Utah County Board of Realtors and political action committee chairman. Aside from helping buyers and sellers with their real estate needs, Justin also specializes in both the liquidation and purchase of bank REO properties. Justin has worked hard to earn several industry designations such as ABR, GRI, e-PRO and more.

Jared is a licensed real estate agent since 2001. He obtained his business management degree from Brigham Young University in 2002. Because of his background in business, real estate sales, new construction sales, and property management, Jared is an extremely versatile and valuable member of our team. Aaron has an extensive background in real estate, property maintenance, remodeling, and construction. Though his skill set is critical to our operation, Aaron has the right personality to effectively manage your property. He is always professional and he can be tough when the situation calls for it. Aaron makes sure we only choose high-quality tenants and that they fulfill the terms of the lease agreement. He negotiates very hard to get the best pricing from our contractors and vendors so we can pass these savings on to you. If you desire to renovate your property, ad on to it, or build any type of investment property including commercial, Aaron owns and operates a licensed and insured construction company called Centurion Homes.

Chris is very detail oriented which is critical to the success of our business. To be successful in property management requires a well-defined, systematic approach. Not only does Chris handle day-to-day property management functions but he also is in charge of making sure the system is followed, is efficient, and is effective. This includes everything from the technology we use to the way we handle maintenance requests to the way we screen our tenants. He is constantly looking for ways to improve our system so we can serve our owners and tenants better.
